Downtown Development Authority

Downtown Development Authority (4 year term)

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is responsible for promoting the economic growth of the city's downtown business district by;

  1.     Recommending changes to established boundaries;
  2. Making recommendations of and for projects associated with the Downtown Master Plan;
  3. Overseeing the general maintenance along with the seasonal plantings and decorations within the DDA boundaries;
  4. Identify and pursue potential grant opportunities for economic revitalization projects; and
  5. Identify TIF initiative.

The DDA is made up of the Mayor, the City Manager and seven members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Members serve a four-year term. A majority of the members must be associated with the DDA 

boundaries as a property owner, business owner, or employee, and at least one member must reside within the DDA. The remaining members must be residents of the City.
